The honorary presidents of the seven previous editions of the Salon des Vins met to highlight the very positive evolution of this benefit event, which was held in 2001 at Maison Trestler. Franco Donato, owner of the Franco & Nino Restaurant, was one of the first instigators of this project, followed by the following honorary presidents: Gilbert Beaulieu from Caisse Desjardins, Jean-Marie Bourassa from Bourassa, Boyer Inc., Pierre Séguin Inc., Pierre Séguin from Séguin and Associates Avocats, Pierre Séguin from Séguin and Associates Avocats, Pierre Séguin from Séguin and Associates Avocats, Brigitte Brunet from Brigitte Brunet, Lawyers, Caroline Salette from RE/MAX Royal Jordan, Roger Bilodeau from Construction R. Bilodeau And finally for this 8E year, by Denis Lapointe from Caisse Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
Due to the growing success of the event, the organizing committee set up shop this year in the new Vaudreuil-Dorion arena. With the increase in the region's population, the presence of the SAQ as an official presenter and the support of major sponsors, it is legitimate to expect this Show to grow even more in the coming years. In order to constantly improve the prestige of this event, the creation of a Presidents' Club will enrich the organizing committee with its past experience for the benefit of the numerous Salons to come.
